Tiananmen Square - The Forbidden City - Pearl Factory - Park - Concert

Previous Day (The Summer Palace, First Concert)

Saturday, June 21. The day started out well - the sun finally came out in Beijing. It was pretty clear, and over 100 today. In the morning, we saw the Tianan'men Square and the Forbidden City ( a LONG walk).

Zhengyangmen Gate

Quianmen Gate
Museum of Chinese History

Monument to the People's Heroes

The Great Hall of People

The Palace Museum

Shade is where you find it...

Chairman Mao Memorial Hall

      The Group Portrait

To get to the Forbidden City, we walk through a tunnel under the boulevard.

Inside the Forbidden City!

The Hall of Supreme Harmony

This was our first (and only, really) sunny day, and it was pretty hot. The Ice Cream stand was a popular attraction!

Remember where this is...

Chinese musical instruments.

The Dragonclaw date plant

    ...and we've reached the end.

After this, we go to the Pearl Factory, a very nice Park, and finally, the concert...
