The PYA Visits Austria!
June 24-25, 2006 - Touring in Vienna, part 2
From Schoenbrunn, we travel to downtown Vienna. We also have a workshop; and other activities.
The Stephansdom (St. Stephan's Cathedral) is the center of old Vienna.
The area around the Cathedral has very old and very new buildings.
The afternoon was broken up with a workshop given by Prof. Dallinger of the Music University of Vienna.
After the workshop, some went to a concert while others went to the Prater, an amusement park in Vienna.
The view of Vienna is spectacular from the
Riesenrad
, one of the world's largest Ferris Wheels.
Sunday morning, we visited the house where Mozart lived for a while, at 5 Dom Gasse.
Then we walked to the Museum and saw a collection of music instruments.
